Sonalisa Mishra, currently residing in Brisbane, Australia, cherishes her roots in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, where her love for performing arts, particularly singing, blossomed at a young age. Initiating her journey into Hindustani classical vocals at just three years old, Sonalisa’s dedication led her to triumph in numerous local competitions and grace stages across India. Alongside her musical prowess, she’s a proficient Odissi dancer and has ventured into acting, featuring in Bollywood serials and modeling assignments.

Supportive parents and siblings have been instrumental in fostering Sonalisa’s passions. Having relocated to Brisbane five years ago, she has showcased her talent across Australia and Papua New Guinea, collaborating with exceptional musicians, often for charitable causes and community events.

Sonalisa’s accomplishments include winning the Australian Icon Title in December 2019 and representing India at the 3rd International Indian Icon Show in Chicago, USA. Her unplugged cover songs shared online garnered significant attention. Presently, her five-song music album, “Pyaar Ho Gaya,” a collaboration with renowned Bollywood composers Viraal and Arya, embraces diverse musical genres, from the emotive “Bin Tere” to the vibrant Rajasthani folk ensemble titled “Kesariyo.” These melodies, complemented by evocative lyrics, can be enjoyed across various music platforms.

Eager to share her music globally, Sonalisa is already working on a Ghazal project, honoring her roots in Hindustani classical music. She embraces collaborations not only within the Indian music realm but also with Fiji Indians and the Australian Boss Moxi band. Her involvement in the spectacular “Moulin Rouge” musical night signifies her enthusiasm for collaboration with Australia’s finest artists across diverse domains.
