In October 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to perform at the Benalla Diwali Festival in Melbourne—a celebration filled with light, music, and cultural vibrancy. Invited by the Benalla Migrants Association (BMA), I was honoured to represent Indian performing arts at this multicultural community event.
Accompanied by my talented musician Steve Shankar, a renowned keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist, we brought soulful melodies and festive Bollywood hits to life on stage. From classical-inspired pieces to crowd-favourite Bollywood tracks, our set aimed to create an atmosphere of unity, joy, and celebration among the diverse audience.
The festival was beautifully organized in the heart of Benalla, drawing large crowds from different backgrounds, all coming together to celebrate the Festival of Lights—Diwali. The energy from the audience, the vibrant stalls, and the warm welcome from the community made the experience even more memorable.
