On June 15, 2024, Sonalisa Mishra Productions proudly organized Brisbane’s first-ever World Music Night, a groundbreaking event that raised $2,000 in support of Beyond DV. This unique night showcased an eclectic mix of musical genres and languages, something Brisbane had never experienced before.

The event’s success was amplified by the incredible talent of musicians Steve Shankar, Hari, and Dreamer, along with the mesmerizing voices of singers Riya Thapa, Yousuf Ali, Himmy Mokhyada, and Dancers Nesha Shikha. We were honored to have key speakers such as Carolyn Robinson, Councillor Danita Parry, ECCQ member Anna Rolanson, and Usha Chandra, the driving force behind GOPIO Queensland, share their insights. It was an unforgettable evening, made possible by the dedication and passion of everyone involved.
